The editorial and publishing team of International Soil and Water Conservation Research (ISWCR) is delighted to announce that the journal has been selected for coverage in Clarivate Analytics’ Emerging Source Citation Index (ESCI).

The International Soil and Water Conservation Research (ISWCR), sponsored by the International Research and Training Center on Erosion and Sedimentation (IRTCES) and China Water & Power Press (CWPP) was launched in June 2013. It is a multidisciplinary journal of soil and water conservation research, practice, policy, and perspectives, aiming to disseminate new knowledge and promote the practice of soil and water conservation. ISWCR was included in Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD) Core Collection in April 2015, and in January 2017 it was indexed in Scopus.

The Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) was launched late in 2015 as a new database within Clarivate Analytics’ (formerly Thomson Reuters’) Web of Science™ Core Collection. According to Clarivate Analytics, “ESCI complements the highly selective indexes by providing earlier visibility for sources under evaluation as part of SCIE, SSCI, and AHCI’s rigorous journal selection process”.

ISWCR has been accepted in the ESCI on the basis of its high quality peer-reviewed content. Inclusion in the ESCI will allow papers published in the journal to be searchable, discoverable and citable via the Web of Science. It means that ISWCR will be more visible and will most likely receive a higher citation count, thus increasing its authors' H-index and influence in their fields.
