The International Youth Dialogue on “The Belt and Road, The Able and Young" Held in Beijing

With the assistance of China Water & Power Press (CWPP), Tsinghua University and some other supporting organizations, the Global Water Partnership China (GWP China) organized the international youth dialogue on “the Belt and Road, the Able and Young" in Beijing on 19 October, 2018.
Mr. Li Zhongfeng , Vice President of CWPP, was invited to address the Dialogue. In his speech, entitled “Water Challenges an Missions on Youth under the Belt and Road”, Mr. Li reviewed the framework, development, cooperation priorities, and the influence of the “Belt and Road Initiative” (BRI), analyzed water challenges related to BRI, and called on the youth to develop with BRI.
The Dialogue invited 50 youth leaders and representatives from 14 countries to discuss about of the influence that BRI’ implementation brought to the countries along the “Belt and Road” from the perspectives natural environment and social and economic development, aiming to promote inter-regional cooperation and water resources management in the Belt and Road countries. 
The Global Water Partnership (GWP) is a inter-governmental network with over 3,000 Partner organizations in 183 countries.  GWP China was established in November 2000 and defined a Regional Water Partnership. CWPP signed strategic cooperation framework agreement with GWP China in July 2015 since when the two sides have harvested fruits of cooperation in the fields of digital water platform construction, scientific publishing, science popularization and international exchanges.
